KKSC VS DFC dated 5th Oct 2013

KKSC 1 - DFC 0

As soon as the whistle was blown and the match the started the KKSC boys dominated the pitch and tested the DFC's keeper skills in the opening minutes of the match. The 1st half saw a lot of miss pass due to the water logged ground conditions here at the IG Stadium. The game slowly changed it's pace as the game was leading into the final minutes of the 1st half and likewise the colour of the jersey of both the teams. Just as the rain stopped and the fog came in, a DFC player was awarded a yellow card and KKSC player Sanyem injured his ankle when he fought for an air ball and landed on the wrong foot and had to be carried out on stretcher thus temporarily stopping the game for some time. Bamdibe went in place of Sanyem and soon the match was back on track. After much hard fought minutes the referee blew the whistle for the lemon break.
2nd half saw both the teams becoming aggressive and leading to frequent free kicks. Mathew was replaces by Khanjilo Wanth. MPA received a yellow card for unsporting behaviour and was taken out of the game and was replaced by Zhavilie. KKSC fought hard to secure a goal and finally got it through Kivi Sumi. The celebration was not long for the DFC team got stronger and more determined resulting in several heart stopping moments for KKSC goalie P.Solo within the danger zone. By the end of the match, the atmosphere heated up as a DFC player charged captain Ating Tingnyek Konyak when he was being awarded a yellow card. There was a few pushes and words exchanged between the two rivals but the timely action of the match officials and team managers/coaches of both the team brought the commotion to a stop. The match official blew the whistle for the final time and KKSC added another victoKKSC 1 - DFC 0
